The gemara says that a katan can be mitztaref to a mezuman in certain cases. How can a katan that cannot talk (mutal bearisah) be part of a mezuman? Perhaps in the meiri on the previous gemara that we saw there is an answer to this question. The gemara says that one can free a slave and trangress an asay for a “mitzvah derabbim”. What is the mitzvah derabbim here in the gemara? See tosfos dh mitzvah and Rosh siman 20 beginning from tanu rabanan until a few lines later velays hilchasah that discusses this point.
