Begin on 45a at the mishna. Learn the mishna with Rashi and tosfos dh shlosha. What is Demai and Kusi? See Rav (Bartenura) in mishnayos that explains these two terms. What does the end of mishna mean when it says “ad kamah mezamnim”? See Rashi dh ad kamah. see Pnei Yehoshua on Rashi dh shamash that explains why the mishna says that the shamash ate a kazayis, something that the mishna doesn’t mention earlier. He also explains Rashi dh mezamnim. After learning tosfos dh shlosha, there should be some clarity regarding the question, what is considered eating together in order to be mitztaref for a mezuman.
