Mazel Tov on the siyum of the second Perek of Eruvin.  

We are starting the third perek of Gemara Shabbos today. 

The best method to learn the beginning of the third perek is to learn the first 2 1/2 blatt Gemara & Rashi in totality.  Afterwards to start from the beginning of the Perek and learn the gemara again with the Rishonim.  

There are 7 bochurim from Yeshiva Staten Island who are part of a Seed program in our Yeshiva.  They are available to learn with you in the morning. 

One of them will be giving my daily shiur at 12:15 learning through the Gemara with the chabura.

Do parks or wooded areas larger that a בית סאתים disqualify a city eruv? 

Yesterday we learnt the תוספת ישנים underneath “תוספת דף כג: “איכא and the רא”ש פרק ב’ ס’ ב  “ומתוך פ’ רש”י (approximately 20 lines before end) that according to Rashi gardens only destroy דירה for a קרפף but not for a חצר 

However the שולחן ערוך ס’ שנ”ח סע’ ט & י rules there is no difference.
