Points to ponder:
- Last week we pointed out the מחלוקת between תוס & the ריטב”א whether the גזירה שוה of שיבה שיבה from עבד עברי to רוצח is needed just for the דין of ר”מ or also for the דין of ר”י as well. What is their point of disagreement?
- Can a רוצח be appointed to a new position after he is set free from גלות?
- Does ר”מ & ר”י also argue regarding a person who commits a different crime other then murder. For example theft or idolatry?
- If a person of stature commits an Aveirah, does he get dismissed from his position? If he does Teshuva can he get reinstated? Learn ריטבא
The next two weeks will be designated for a review of the entire second perek.
