The rule is in order to be הוכשר לקבל טומאה is that the person wants the moisture on this fruit or vegetable. In our case why do we assume the person wants the Esrog to become wet?
Additionally, why would the person want the Esrog to become wet as this would make it able to become tameh and disqualify this Esrog?
