Halacha question –

Do parks or wooded areas larger that a בית סאתים disqualify a city eruv? 

Yesterday we learnt the תוספת ישנים underneath “תוספת דף כג: “איכא and the רא”ש פרק ב’ ס’ ב  “ומתוך פ’ רש”י (approximately 20 lines before end) that according to Rashi gardens only destroy דירה for a קרפף but not for a חצר 

However the שולחן ערוך ס’ שנ”ח סע’ ט & י rules there is no difference. 

Learn  ביאור הלכה ס’ שנ”ח סע’ ט’ “אבל אם who brings a ת’ דבר שמואל for a new reason why a city eruv can include with קרפף inside of it.  

Based on the above would a city eruv be permitted to include park or wooden area?

What is the reason the דבר שמואל that קרפף inside a walled city will not disqualify the Eruv?

Would a halachik wall made from צורת הפתח also be included in the chidush of the דבר שמואל?
