According to Tosfos – Why does everyone agree it is forbidden to pour cold water into a bath – Kli Sheini – of hot water as a gezaira to prevent one from pouring into a Kli Rishon, yet to pour cold water into a cup which is a Kli Sheini is a dispute between Beis Shammai and Bais Hillel if we make a Gezaira?
