There are three opinions in regards to heating oil on Shabbos. 

Major Questions:

How is it possible to say that one who cooks oil does not violate cooking on Shabbos?

Why would warming oil to lukewarm temperature be considered cooking?

According to רשב”ג that there is cooking by oil and even warming up the oil is considered cooking why is it permitted to lather ones hands with oil and hold it near a fire?
