Tosfos asks on Rashi how could the protruding Lechi permit people to carry opposite the Lechi? This area is Reshus Harabim?
Question on Tosfos:
It seems that Tosfos understands why the Lechi permits one to carry inside the Mavui. This seems to be contradictory to the Gemara on bottom of דף ח עמוד ב which says a Korah placed outside the walls of a Mavui is invalid. So how could a Lechi placed outside the Mavui permit one to carry inside the Mavui?
