Quickly review גמרא ט עמוד א from bottom of עמוד until משנה עמוד ב.
Learn מהרש”א “ממך למד that explains the word ממך – from you, is misleading & what the גמרא really means is “from him (אברהם אבינו)”. The מהרש”א also gives an additional explanation which is more grammatically correct with the definition of the word ממך.
Learn משנה ט עמוד ב and the גמרא until the first wide line.
- Point to ponder: Why is a סומא exempt from גלות?
- Question; If רבי יהודה is using “בבלי דעת” to exclude מתכוין then it is still a מיעוט אחר מיעוט which should be used to include סומא?
