Topic: Protection from Gehinom

Learn גמרא חגיגה דף כז. “א”ר אבהו (second wide line) until the end of the Amud which says the talmidei chachamim are impervious to the fire of Gehinom

And ריש לקיש says the same is true even for פושעי ישראל.

Questions:

Is this true by all פושעי ישראל ?

Is the reason why פושעי ישראל are protected from the fire of Gehinom because of their mitzvos or because Abraham avinu pulls them out of Gehinom?

The Gemara Bava Metzia lists three people who descend to gehinom and never leave.

Questions:

Why does the Gemara Bava Metzia omit a fourth person – Jew who has relations with a non Jew which our Gemara lists?
