Continue the גמרא until רוצח שיצא    (twelve lines into the wide lines)
Major Questions;
  • The רמב”ם says the מזבח grants asylum to someone who is trying to escape the death penalty of the king .  So why was יואב mistaken for holding on to the מזבח ? Learn (כסף משנה, מאירי, ערוך לנר )
  • How could the Angel of Rome make such blatant mistakes?
  • Why does the גמרא not offer as an answer that the רוצח was living in the מגרש with just a pillow and blanket and no house?

Questions;
  • Why does one who kills a Kohen Godal, or a Kohen Godal that accidently kills another men not punished with Galus? (Ritva)
  • Why is the Rotzaich not allowed to leave even if he is needed to save lives, but Pikuach Nefashos overrides all commandments of the Torah except for the three cardinal sins? (Bartunura, Tiferes Yisroel on the Mishna)
The גמרא concludes the death of the כ”ג, and not גלות, is what gives the רוצח a כפרה.

Learn תוס מידי which asks how do we reconcile our גמרא  with the גמרא ב that clearly says גלות is a כפרה?
